Featured Blogger- Naptime is My Time

Posted by BlogPrWire Categories: Featured Bloggers, Uncategorized

BlogPrWire’s featured blogger this week is: Emily of Naptime is My Time.

Emily established her blog in late November 2010, but did not commit to writing regularly until February 2011. She’s new to the blogging community, but you wouldn’t know that by looking at the great custom theme and graphics on her blog.

We’d say Emily understands some webmaster fundamentals, her blog is easy to navigate, the template meets Internet advertising standards. Her posts are a mixture of parenting resources and blogging resources. She started blogging as a way to share my thoughts and reflections on what I have learned about being a woman, a wife, and a mother.

What is your blog about?
Nap Time Is My Time is about one mom’s dreams of eco-friendly domestic bliss. I write about parenting, being a mother, a woman, healthy recipes and whatever interests me at that particular moment.

Share a tip you use to promote your blog:
In order to promote your blog, it is important to read other blogs and comment on them too. This will let other bloggers know that you’re “out there.” Also, I do not follow every blog that I visit, or every blogger that visits my blog; I follow those which add value to my life.

More about your blog and your goals for the year:
This year, my biggest goal is to grow my readership through consistent posting on topics directly related to eco-friendly living. You’re likely to see posts about growing an herb garden, favorite e-books and choosing organic dairy products for your family.

Another goal I have is to review, and host giveaways, for eco-friendly products.
Emily bloggerEmily is a former work-at-the-office wife turned stay-at-home mom. She enjoys writing, photography, cooking and many other activities. She loves a good Margarita and {some} reality TV. She and her husband married in 2005 and welcomed their first child in 2009.

Have you ever felt the need to live a little less dependent on the trappings of urban life; to live a little more off the land and less of the man? If so, our Monday featured blogger has a website for you.

Today I’m going to pick the brains of Cat from Amlo Farms about her agricultural lifestyle and blog. Enjoy!

Why did you start blogging?

It started out as a way to keep family and friends updated on our world.  It has turned into a site where we advocate organic and all natural products and approaches to life, all the while still retaining it’s original purpose as well.

What is your weblog about?

Our blog is about our adventures in homesteading and living as organically and all naturally as we possibly can.  We are trying to create a place where we are using the resources of our tiny property more than grocery stores and other places like that.

What platform do you use?

Blogger

What do you plan in the near future, for your blog and otherwise?

We are really quite passionate about living off our land and keeping it organic and all natural.  We are hoping to have an even bigger vegetable garden this year and goat milk after the New Year from our mama goat.  As far as goals for the blog itself, I am hoping to continue promoting organic, eco-friendly, all natural products and lifestyles.  It’s important to our planet and our children.

Is there anything you’d like readers to know about you?

I am a stay at home mom to 3 wonderful children.  My oldest son is married and has given me the most beautiful grandson.  Our girls are 7 and 5, so still young.  I have a B.A. in Religious Studies and love to write, garden and knit.  I am an avid reader with my favorite author being Tom Robbins.  I love my family above all else.

Cat is one of the many folks you can network with on BlogPRWire/BlogPRPitch. It’s also her youngest one’s birthday, so take a wander over to her website for an ecological brain tickle :)

Today’s featured blogger is Monique of Stretching Your One Income Dollar , a website that helps you save money on all kinds of essentials from food to vacationing.

Why did you start your blog?

I had written a book titled Stretching Your One Income Dollar and wanted a website to go along with it.

What is your blog about?

Making less go further. We are a one income family and we show how it is possible to still live comfortably with one income.
We started doing product reviews and giveaways with the site as well, and really have fun with those. We love doing the reviews and our readers love entering the giveaways. It’s great promotion for businesses.

What platform is your blog hosted on?

Blogger

What are your goals for the near future?

Goals are to continue to grow in size with readers and to continue to promote more products and feature more great articles from our guest writers.

Monique is a mother of two adult girls who lives her philosophy- saving, writing, and product reviewing – with her partner Gerry. She is one of the many great writers that advertisers can reach through BlogPRPitch .

It’s the beginning of a new week, and as such we have a new featured blogger that you’re sure to enjoy. Today we pick the brains of Stacie Vaughan of simplystacie.net .

enjoy!

Why did you start your blog?

I started my blog after discovering the wonderful world of blog giveaways. I thought it would be fun to host my own so I gave away something from my home. After a few months, I was contacted by a company to do my first product review and it just grew from there!

What is your blog about?

My blog is mainly product and book reviews and lots of giveaways. I also share any resources or blogging tips I find in my travels to help other bloggers out. (ed. – the blogosphere is far more fun when we share!)

What platforms has your blog been hosted on?

WordPress

So what’s your favourite WordPress Plugin?

Comment Luv (ed- Commentluv rewards your readers by crawling their blog and posting a link to their most recent blog post. This encourages useful comments and backlinks )

Tell us a little about your blog and goals for the near future.

I plan to continue with the reviews and giveaways as I have been doing. I have a team of reviewers and they have been doing the bulk of the reviews. It takes me a lot of time to do all the admin. I have some big events planned for the next year. I love working with other bloggers on events, so I will likely continue doing that as well.

Stacie Vaughan is a Canadian mother of two girls, aged 12 and 6. When she’s not busy chasing her kids or finding sweet stuff for her readers, you’ll find her curled up with a book or traveling and hunting for a great bargain.

Monday is not always the best day of the week, but this week’s Featured Blogger will be sure to make yours a little bit more enjoyable.

This week’s featured blogger is Hannah Katsman from A Mother In Israel

Why did you start your blog?

While reading Jewish and Israeli blogs I noticed that there was not much on parenting, at least not that I agreed with. I decided to step in and fill the void.

What is your blog about?

I write about what interests me, and hope that my readers come along.  My main topics are breastfeeding, parenting children of all ages, education, women’s issues in Judaism, and adjusting to life in Israel. My most popular topic of late is the trend toward greater modesty in dress among some segments of the Jewish community.

What platforms has your blog been hosted on?

I started with Blogger and switched to WordPress about a year and a half ago.

Nice. So what’s your favourite WordPress Plugin?

WP Greet Box. It encourages readers to sign up.

What tip would you like to share with other bloggers?

My friend designed business cards that I hand out to any English speaker I strike up a conversation with.  (ed. – anything that makes a contact remember you and your blog is a worthwhile investment.)

Tell us a little about your blog and goals for the near future.

I am working on switching to a new theme. I want to earn more from my blog, probably through e-books, advertising, and sponsorship.

Hannah is an American-born mother of six and breastfeeding counselor who has been living in Israel for the last 20 years.  In addition to A Mother In Israel, she also owns CookingManager.com a blog that helps folks save time and money in the kitchen.  Mrs. Katsman is also a contributor to GreenProphet.com, the Middle Eastern Environmental blog.

Hannah is one of my favourite bloggers and one of the many fine folks that are a part of our blog news wire.

This week’s featured blogger is: Brett Martin of This Mama Loves Her Bargains

Why did you start your blog?

A friend suggested I start a blog to share some of the deals I find and it has kind of taken off from there.

What is your blog about?

Deals, reviews, giveaways- so far, mostly geared toward kids and kid related things but not limited.

What Platform is your blog hosted on?
Blogger

What blogging tip would you be happy to share with other bloggers on the Blog PR Wire?

Publicize your blog, tell your friends friends and ask them to tell friends. I have a fan page on facebook, and I use twitter to get my blog out there. I’m still pretty new so it’s a work in progress.

Tell us a bit more about your blog and your goals for the year.

I would like to continue growing the blog, and become more established in the blogging community.

Brett is a stay home mom with 3 children under the age of 5. She has a love for shopping and an adoration of a good (great!) deal. A firm believer in word of mouth marketing, Brett practices that belief religiously. She also love taking photograph of her children, and one day hopes to get back to taking pictures of other things, when she’s not chasing a 2 and 4 year old and wearing an 8 month old.

Brett, is just one of many bloggers you can reach through the Blog PR wire at BlogPrPitch.
